Dear there, call us about our last Level 7 solicitor apprenticeship cohort with full funding, read about a new partnership between BARBRI and The University of Bedfordshire, and more.
Last Chance to Secure Level 7 Apprenticeships Before 2026
From 1 January 2026, government and levy funding for Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeships will no longer be available for individuals aged 21 and over. To accommodate this change, BARBRI, in partnership with Damar Training, will launch our final all-age cohort on 15 December 2025. Apprentices enrolled in this cohort will remain unaffected by the new regulations, making this your last opportunity to secure funding for solicitor apprenticeships.
To ensure candidates are enrolled on time, all required paperwork must be completed and submitted by October 2025.
We offer two apprenticeship programmes:
đź“‹ The Shorter-Form Solicitor Apprenticeship
18 months + 3 months End Point Assessment (EPA)

đź“‹ The Longer-Form Solicitor Apprenticeship
35 months + 3 months End Point Assessment (EPA)
Ideal for non-law graduates, successful paralegal apprentices, those with CILEX level 3, conveyancing technicians, licensed paralegals, and similar.

August saw the launch of BARBRI’s latest –and 13th – UK university partnership, this time with the University of Bedfordshire. This exciting new collaboration has already generated two new Master’s pathways for students seeking an LLM alongside BARBRI SQE Prep: The Solicitors’ Practice LLM; and the International Business Law with Legal Practice, both featuring our SQE1 and SQE2 learning system.
Andrew Ekuban, Head of the University’s School of Accounting, Law, and Sustainable Tourism, said of the collaboration: “It is our ongoing mission at the University of Bedfordshire to provide our students with top-quality learning experiences that transform lives through Career-Powered Education.”
This collaboration opens a new pathway for aspiring solicitors seeking leading-edge support in their career journey.
From 1 to 31 October 2025, all solicitors with an SRA practising certificate must renew their authorisation and confirm compliance with core obligations. You'll need to provide updated information about your role or firm. The SRA has published guidance to help you prepare and complete your renewal application smoothly.
As part of your annual renewal, solicitors or registered lawyers must confirm competence. This includes staying up to date with legal knowledge and skills. Along with the practising renewal, the SRA has published guidance on what's expected to help you meet your obligations and submit your declaration without issues.
